What time did Christmas start for God? What day? What hour? Apostle Paul gives us a glimpse...

Galatians 4
4
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.

How does a person define, full? Well, Webster defines full as - "Containing as much as possible." The Greek word for full is pleres. It denotes the idea of a lack of containment - spilling over.

"But when the time had fully come..."

It hard to imagine that our omniscient God could ever reach a point in which He could no longer contain anything. But such is the case. A tipping point. A boiling point. A time that was talked about and prophesied over for many millenniums. Christmas exploded on the scene. And the result, according to Paul, is that we joined a new family. We became sons and daughters. We received the full rights to our Abba - Father. Christmas is about us becoming a family - during a birth. As Jesus breathed his first breath, we took ours as well. Life breathed into death.

What a great "time" for Christmas!
