Apparently, the thief was quite sick and immediately rushed by ambulance to the hospital.
Okay...so I'm wondering, how does this relate to spiritual matters? Does this story preach? It did not take long for a verse to come to my mind. It goes like this:

2 Peter 2:22
"A dog returns to its vomit,"and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."
Peter is demonstrating a sad truth about our sinful condition. You would think that with every bad example that we have in life it would produce a smarter and more productive method in our walk with God. However, many people, like a dog or a pig, go directly back to their sinful and dirty condition - even after they left it for a period of time. It's like they have siphoned the wrong tank. Instead of getting fuel for living, they return back to the same waste of life.

Something to think about today. What hose are you drinking from?
